Lukashenko: new museum needs to present historical facts as truthfully as possible

There should be no nationalistic or flag-waving overlap in the future exposition of the new National Historical Museum: an objective view on Belarus’ history is needed – as stated by President Aleksandr Lukashenko at today’s meeting on the architectural solution and concept of the exposition of the National Historical Museum complex

The Head of State noted, “Despite all the political whirlwinds that swept over our country, the Belarusian people have managed to preserve and develop their special identity, language and culture. They have a unique talent and are distinguished by a special quality: peacefulness. We have passed a difficult path and achieved high results, and this should be an object of pride, especially for our youth. The exposition should have no nationalistic or flag-waving overlap, but it needs to reflect an objective view on our history so that not only Belarusians, but also other nations can agree with its interpretation or at least be unable to reject and deny it. My main requirement is to present the historical facts as truthfully as possible.”
