Where new National Historical Museum, whose concept was presented to Lukashenko, will be located
Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev presented the architectural and construction concept of the future museum at a meeting with President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko focusing on the construction of the National Historical Museum complex
The Mayor of Minsk said that in line with the President’s instructions, a site for the museum has been selected. The National Historical Museum is to be located in Minsk’s Tsentralny District, on the site between Pobediteley Avenue, Orlovskaya Street and the River Svisloch. Previously, the Dreamland Park was situated on this territory.
“We are putting things in order in this area and today we see that this is the most suitable place to create not just a museum, but a museum and park ensemble. The park itself is proposed to be named the National Unity Park, and it will be a symbol of our country,” Vladimir Kukharev stressed.
The planning solution of the building of the National Historical Museum will repeat the outline of Belarus’ map. The museum’s exposition will contain exhibits and information about the history of the Belarusian lands, starting from ancient times till the present day.
