UK to tighten anti-smoking measures
According to The Sun newspaper, the British government is set to tighten anti-smoking measures by banning smoking in some outdoor areas, including bars and restaurants, RIA Novosti reports
According to the newspaper, the government is mulling to radically extend the indoor smoking ban to cover other locations. Thus, smoking will be prohibited near educational institutions, hospitals, stadiums, sports and playgrounds.
Moreover, it is reported that the restrictions will affect the open spaces of clubs, bars and restaurants, but private houses, as well as large open spaces like parks and streets, will not be covered. Lawmakers also want to consider extending the ban to electronic cigarettes.
