Shunevich on the participation of Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen members in people's militia: we have means to defend the country, other aspects will be polished

If necessary, members of the Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen will take part in any actions aimed at protecting the state – as noted by the organisation’s Chairman, Igor Shunevich, commenting on the results of the report to the Head of State

Mr. Shunevich noted that a hunter is always a professional in his field, with shooting experience and equipment (optics, including night ones, cartridges, and thermal imaging equipment). “Most importantly, this is a person who is not afraid of blood at least. Hunters – not called up for service in accordance with the procedure established by the military enlistment offices – will certainly take part in any actions necessary to protect the state, using their skills, equipment, and weapons. We have discussed this today as well. There will be no exceptions in this regard,” he said.

According to the official, hunters themselves voice this desire and determination. “Everyone who knows how to use weapons understands that he will have to defend [the country]. We have means to protect it, and we will polish all other aspects,” Mr. Shunevich said.
