Lukashenko to Chinese Ambassador: you became a model of ambassadorial behaviour in the country

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has met today with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus, Xie Xiaoyong, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the republic

Welcoming the diplomat, Aleksandr Lukashenko said, “I couldn't help but meet you. First of all, I want to thank you for all that you have done for our country. You have actually become a kind of a model of the ambassadorial behaviour in the country. You did everything to strengthen our relations with China, although they were already at a very high level.”

The Head of State noted the special nature of relations between Belarus and China. The adoption of a joint declaration on the establishment of all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership between Belarus and China on the side-lines of the SCO Summit in Samarkand in September 2022 became a landmark event in this regard. As noted by Aleksandr Lukashenko, that was also the merit of the Chinese Ambassador to Belarus.
