UAE interested in strengthening economic co-operation with BRICS members
After joining BRICS, the United Arab Emirates expressed interest in strengthening economic ties with the regional group members, TASS reports
In his talk with the WAM agency, the Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Finance, Younis Haji Al Khoori, said, “The UAE seeks to strengthen economic co-operation with BRICS states, identifying opportunities for expanding trade, ensuring financial stability and supporting sustainable development goals.”
Younis Haji Al Khoori added that the UAE authorities are exploring opportunities for co-operation with BRICS members in the tax and customs spheres. For example, the UAE government expects to reduce trade barriers, improve data exchange procedures within the union and create an infrastructure for digital tax administration.
