Lukashenko thanked Chinese side for technical assistance and support to Belarus

During today’s meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong, Belarus’ President Aleksandr Lukashenko thanked the Chinese side for the technical assistance provided to Belarus and the support of our country on international platforms

“I also would like to thank you for the technical assistance that you provide to us. Thanks to the People’s Republic of China, we’re completing the construction of two social facilities that will promote the health of our population and will be image-oriented. This is a swimming pool and a stadium, the construction of which, I really hope, we will finish this year. I also thank you for the tremendous support that you provided to us upon joining the SCO, for the support that you provide to us in co-operation with the BRICS countries,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed, addressing the diplomat.

The Head of State reminded that in the near future Kazan will be hosting the BRICS summit, and the Belarusian delegation will also be present there.

“I would like to ask you to convey my best wishes for health and longevity, especially political, to my very close friend, President Xi Jinping. This is a person who is known and loved in Belarus. I’m very glad that we have established such kind and warm relations, and this is also due to the four years when you served China on the territory of Belarus,” the President of Belarus continued.

Aleksandr Lukashenko invited the Ambassador to come to Belarus at any time and feel at home here, “We will be happy to meet you. Thank you very much for all that you have done during your time as Ambassador to Belarus.”
