Lukashenko: if economy goes well, we’ll cope with other issues

When making personnel decisions today, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed the new heads of districts to pay special attention to the state of affairs in agriculture

Addressing them, the Head of State said, “You will bear the main burden in the economy, especially in agriculture. If the economy goes well, we will cope with other issues. Providing people with food and clothes is of paramount importance. And this is all in agriculture.”

According to the President, rapeseed and winter grain crops have already been sown in the districts, but there is still a lot of corn and sugar beet to harvest.

“It is necessary to start autumn ploughing so that there is less work in spring. You have to deal with a lot of work and preparation for winter. In general, you must organise all agricultural works. Don’t wait and don’t look at anyone,” Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed.
