Welcoming the guest, Aleksandr Lukashenko said that he is sincerely glad to welcome in Minsk a delegation from such an original region, “We are very interested in your delegation because your land is so unusual and romantic, even for me, although I know Russia very well. Yakutia is known for endless expanses and rich natural resources. Most importantly, your people are very courageous and hardworking. Our people are somewhat similar: Belarusians and residents of this beautiful region, especially in our determination.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko thanked Aisen Nikolayev for his visit to Belarus, “Any Russian region is very close to us. We are actively liaising with Sakhalin and Vladivostok. And you’re halfway there, so you’re not located that far away from us.”
