Belarus’ Defence Ministry: co-operation with NATO makes no sense

NATO member countries have launched a fight against Russia and Belarus, so co-operation with this bloc currently makes no sense – as stated by Anatoly Bulavko, the Deputy Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces for Ideological Work, in his talk with the STV TV channel

Mr. Bulavko pointed out the lack of independence of European politicians, “There are such concepts as negotiability and pragmatism. These people [European politicians] are non-negotiable, and they cannot make any decisions on their own.”

According to the Deputy Commander, it is impossible to talk about any kind of co-operation with the North Atlantic Alliance under the current conditions.

“Nominally, we have not withdrawn from the agreements we had, but there is actually no reasonability of co-operation with this block. This is primarily due to the policy pursued [by the West]. They see us as an enemy – not a virtual one – for no good reason. For them, Belarus and Russia are concrete opponents. During the exercises, we practice a war with these states, calling them by their real names," Mr. Bulavko noted.
