"I am fully confident that Aleksandr Lukashenko's visit to Iran was a turning point in our relations. There is no doubt about this," the diplomat said. “The leaders of our countries repeatedly stressed two important issues during the visit: the implementation of all agreements is important, and we should not waste time – taking into account the current challenges and sanctions.”

"Iranian and Belarusian companies are now closely liaising, and they have held various negotiations on the supply of medicines,” the diplomat added. According to him, the two counties have signed an agreement on the supply of potash fertilisers as well, “We have agreed on supplies of 400 thousand tonnes of potash fertilisers from Belarus, also agreeing with the Belarusian side that we will provide all our opportunities to become a hub to other markets, to third countries.”

"Our enterprises interact actively in the field of oil and petrochemicals, and we see this will. Iran and Belarus can complement each other, co-operate and interact – thus resisting the economic, unfair and harsh sanctions imposed against them,” Alireza Sanei said.
