Sabalenka strengthened her WTA No. 1 ranking

The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has published an updated global ranking, with Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka increasing the gap from her nearest rival, Iga Swiatek, and strengthening her position at the world’s number one

Victoria Azarenka moved up one position and is now placed 20th on the planet, while Aliaksandra Sasnovich remained at 143rd position.

Aryna Sabalenka extended her lead as the world No.1, followed by Iga Swiatek (Poland), Coco Gauff (US), Jasmine Paolini (Italy), Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan), Jessica Pegula (US), Zheng Qinwen (China), Emma Navarro (US), Daria Kasatkina (Russia) and Danielle Collins (US).

In the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Egor Gerasimov – the best Belarusian athlete – moved up three places and is now 333rd.

As for the top-10 among men, it remained unchanged compared to the last version. Italian Yannik Sinner tops the ranking, followed by Carlos Alcaraz (Spain), Alexander Zverev (Germany), Novak Djokovic (Serbia), Daniil Medvedev (Russia), Taylor Fritz (US), Andrey Rublev (Russia), Casper Ruud (Norway), Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria) and Alex de Minaur (Australia).
