As the official noted, restrictive measures are necessary to support Romanian farmers who are dissatisfied with the influx of Ukrainian grain.

"In recent weeks, I have met with Romanian farmers and discussed all the measures that need to be taken. I fully agree that we need to see this set of measures," Mr. Ciuca said.

According to the Romanian Prime Minister, the restrictions discussed may affect Ukrainian cereals, grain, honey, butter, milk and chicken meat.

The official added that a meeting of the special commission will be held soon, after which the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Romania, Petre Daea, will inform about the results.
