Mezentsev on implementation of Union State programmes: different scale and high efficiency
State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev highly praised the implementation of the Union State programmes in his speech at the plenary session, exploring The Role of Interregional Co-operation in Building an Innovative Economy of the Union State, held today at the 11th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Vitebsk
Touching upon the issues of Union State construction, Dmitry Mezentsev stressed that twenty-eight Union State programmes have been fully implemented and tasks have been set for joint work until 2027. At the same time, the positions of the heads of our states have determined a new practice of Union State building.
“Today it is distinguished by a different scale and a new effectiveness. Twenty-eight Union State programmes – as interconnected large-scale economic integration plans approved by Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin – have been fully implemented. The results of the completed integration stage are recorded. New tasks have been set for the period up to January 1st, 2027. For the first time, the economic section has been supplemented with the tasks of conducting a co-ordinated policy in education, culture, tourism, sports, humanitarian and patriotic spheres,” Dmitry Mezentsev underlined.
