Lukashenko’s press secretary: preserving peace and balance is the main thing President is focused on now
The main thing that Aleksandr Lukashenko is focused on now is to do everything to preserve peace and balance in Belarus that we have amid the events happening around our country – as stated by Natalya Eismont, the press secretary of the Head of State, in her talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel
Tomorrow scares many people, and the issue of a peaceful sky over the head is becoming more urgent in modern conditions. The TV host asked Ms. Eismont if she had calm and confidence that everything would be fine.
“I know that the main thing the President is focused on now is to preserve this fragile peace, this Belarusian balance, which we now have amid the events happening around. This is the essence of the current moment, the main and global task. I know for sure that the President is thinking about our conditional tomorrow no less important and no less seriously. He is thinking about what will happen in 5, 10, 20, 50 years with each of us, with our country. That’s why we can and must be sure that everything will be fine,” Ms. Eismont said.
At the same time, she stressed that we should never relax.
The President’s spokesperson reminded that Belarus has always been at the intersection of geopolitical paths, but for the first time in its sovereign history, we are witnessing a hot conflict close to our country.
“This is our historical context. There is probably no country in the world right now that would not be affected by everything that is happening globally, to a greater extent or lesser extent. But we are a country in the very heart of Europe. All processes are reflected directly on us. And such a complex historical context is for the first time inside the country,” she stated.
