The agency cites sources in the EU.

“Two senior EU officials briefed on the report, which has not been made public yet, said Ukraine has so far met two conditions,” the text reads.

One of the sources explained that the conditions that Ukraine managed to fulfil are related to legal reform and media law. According to the interlocutor of the agency, this week, the EU plans to submit a report on Ukraine’s application for membership in the association.

“There is progress. The report will be moderately positive. This is not about embellishing reality, but about recognising progress, e.g., there were well-known anti-corruption cases,” the source added to Reuters.

Earlier, in the European Union they called Ukraine’s plans to become a member of the association too optimistic.
