Official heraldic symbols of Industry Ministry and Communications and Informatisation Ministry established

The official heraldic symbols of the Industry Ministry and the Ministry of Communications and Informatisation have been established by the decrees signed on June 13th by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, sb.by reports with reference to the Head of State’s press service

Decree No. 227 envisages the establishment of the emblem, flag and badge of the Industry Ministry.

The emblem is an image of the globe, with an industrial enterprise depicted in its lower part. On top there is a ribbon in the colours of Belarus’ State Flag and bearing the image of the State Emblem, and on the bottom there is a gear – a traditional symbol of the technical sphere. The flag and the breast badge reproduce the image of the emblem.

According to Decree No. 228, the emblem and flag of the Communications and Informatisation Ministry have been established.

The emblem is an image of the globe framed by a grey ribbon with a Belarusian ornament. The outline of Belarus’ territory is depicted on top of the globe, in the centre of which is a radio broadcasting tower and a postal envelope, embodying the department’s main activities. The figures 11110100011 are placed in a row in the lower left part, indicating the year of the ministry’s establishment (1955) in binary code. The flag reproduces the image of the emblem placed on a turquoise cloth.

The presence of official heraldic symbols will contribute to the preservation and development of the traditions of both ministries.
