News photo: solemn ceremony on Victory Square in honour of anniversary of awarding Hero City title to Minsk

Fifty years ago, on June 26th, 1974, Minsk was awarded the honorary Hero City title, the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal. On the occasion of the anniversary, a solemn laying of flowers took place on Victory Square, attended by Natalya Kochanova, the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, the leadership of the Minsk City Executive Committee, structural divisions, administrations of the city districts, deputies of the Minsk City Council of Deputies, and representatives of public organisations.
