Lukashenko signed decree on conscription for military service in September-November 2024

On August 7th, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 312 On Discharge from Active Duty, Conscription and Recruitment to the Reserve Force, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

The document envisages the call up to active duty military service and service in the reserve of male citizens of the Republic of Belarus who are 18 years old by the day of conscription and who are not entitled to or have forfeited the right to a deferment from conscription.

The adoption of the decree will enable the national government agencies, local executive and administrative bodies to take timely measures to recruit conscripts and reservists.

At the same time, the decree provides for the discharge from active duty of the military who have completed the established terms of military service.
