Lukashenko guided Minsk Region Governor for responsibility
Land cultivation and grain growing need to develop properly – as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during his today’s visit to Volozhin, BelTA reports
After his arrival to the regional Dazhynki-2024 festival, the Head of State immediately shared his impressions about land cultivation in the area: after all, it is well seen from the helicopter how things in this sphere are developing. According to the President, there is nothing to criticise the Minsk Region for as a whole, but there are still some points that need attention.
"You can do everything, but you do not do this. You know how to develop lands near your farms, and I have seen nothing to criticise you for while I was going here. You know how to turn up the soil and do land reclamation properly. You keep firewood in places it needs to be stored. This indicates that our people can do everything, can do everything as it should be – no worse than in the West, where everything is private. However, they fail to do this all the time and everywhere. Therefore, those responsible will hold accountable seriously next year, with focus on wet spots and winter barley," Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
The Head of State set a task to ensure proper land cultivation and grain growing. "We only have to harvest corn now. Actually, the areas are not huge, so we will do it. Actually, you can do everything, and this approach is desirable to be observed everywhere. We have enough of everything, we know how to make tractors, we have machinery, but discipline is falling short somewhere. Over the winter, everyone needs to be inspired and motivated. We must work the way we should," the President demanded.
