Lukashenko congratulated Nigerian President Bola Tinubu on Independence Day

On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of Nigeria Bola Tinubu on Independence Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

"Over the past decades, Nigeria has become one of the largest economies in Africa. It has won the political authority and is further increasing it, also implementing consistent steps to increase the well-being of its citizens. Your country is a reliable partner and a real pillar of Belarus in West Africa. I am confident that the implementation of joint projects in the fields of agricultural mechanisation, creation of machinery production, and personnel training will make a significant contribution to strengthening food security and stable development of our states," the congratulatory message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that he attaches great importance to the visit of the First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, to Belarus in July 2024 in the context of strengthening Belarusian-Nigerian relations and highly appreciates the results of this meeting.

"I take this opportunity to confirm the invitation to visit Belarus at the nearest convenient time for you to get acquainted with its potential and identify promising areas of bilateral co-operation," the Head of State noted.

The President wished Bola Tinubu good health and success in responsible government activities, also wishing peace and progress to the friendly people of Nigeria.
