Lukashenko: Belarus, Russia pondering over Moscow-Brest high-speed road construction

Belarus and Russia are discussing the construction of the Moscow-Brest high-speed road – as informed by President Aleksandr Lukashenko today as he was reported on the development of the national highway network and the formation of transport infrastructure that would provide an hour-long travel to satellite cities

In particular, the Head of State noted, “We have agreed with Russian President Vladimir Putin that, in the near future, we will discuss the construction of a speed highway passing from Moscow through Belarus in the western direction – at least up to Brest. If those in the West want to participate in this project, we can develop it up to Berlin. If no, then the highway will run to Brest and back, in the eastern direction. This issue is actually predetermined.”
