Lukashenko: Africa’s voice in favour of just world order is heard louder and clearer
A multipolar fair world, where any issues will be settled at the negotiating table, via an equal dialogue, has no alternatives for Belarus and Equatorial Guinea – as stated today by the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, following the talks with President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo
The Head of State noted that the first top-level visit of the President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obnang Nguemu Mbasogo, demonstrates a joint interest in intensifying and deepening co-operation between the two countries, “An open, friendly, and constructive conversation showed that our assessments of the situation in the region and in the world completely coincide. A multipolar fair world, where any issues will be settled at the negotiating table, via an honest, respectful and equal dialogue, has no alternative for both Belarus and Equatorial Guinea.”
The Belarusian leader underlined, “Despite the pressure and resistance of a number of major world players, the voice of Africa in favour of the inevitability of such a world order is heard louder and clearer. We see that the states of the African continent are increasingly pursuing an independent, sovereign and peaceful policy, not looking back at the countries of the so-called ‘golden billion’. Minsk has been consistently supporting this aspiration for many years.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko added that visits to Zimbabwe, top-level contacts with Egypt, plans to work with Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Uganda, South Africa and a number of other states prove this.
“We intend to further develop ties with the countries of the African continent. We welcome the peaceful initiatives of the African heads of state to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. We are in solidarity with the fact that it is necessary to stop the death and suffering of people as soon as possible,” the President said.
