Dune third instalment to start production coming summer

The Hollywood Reporter informs that the third part of the Dune saga will start production in the summer of 2025. One of the movie channels shared some details.

The third film in the saga will be called Dune: Messiah and continue the story of the second instalment, but with a 12 years long time gap between them. Its focus is going to be the period of Paul Atreides’ rule over the desert planet.

The film's plot is based on the eponymous novel by Frank Herbert, with Denis Villeneuve taking the helm again as director. Timothée Chalamet, Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor-Joy and Zendaya will all reprise their roles.

However, due to her commitment to the new Spiderman movie, Zendaya will only be in a handful of scenes.
