Opinion: those who are in power in Ukraine are dangerous people
Those who are now in power in Ukraine are not just toxic, but dangerous, because a person who is cornered becomes unpredictable – as noted by retired Colonel Anatoly Bulavko, a member of the Standing Commission on National Security at the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, in his talk with SB TV
According to the expert, Zelenskyy is a non-independent politician who always says what his ‘leaders’ tell him.
“But today we see what is really happening. There is no reason to say that Zelenskyy is interested in any peace talks or in reducing at least the degree of tension on the line of contact, either. Because we all realise that today Ukraine is the most unique country in the world with a de factor lack of leadership. Zelenskyy’s term of office has ended, as has the Verkhovna Rada’s. But they continue to lead the country. And all European and American democracies are silently watching this. There is absolutely no criticism from them,” Mr. Bulavko explained.
He recalled that information had recently appeared that Ukraine was planning to hold election in 2025 and bring other people to power, “Because those who are now in power are becoming, to put it mildly, not just toxic, but really dangerous. A person who is cornered is unpredictable. And the current statements of Zelenskyy are the demands of a doomed man, who actually has nothing to lose, as well as Ukraine in principle. Everything that he can lose is in foreign banks, and he does not want that. Therefore, he will do whatever he is told to do until the last moment.”
“But there is also one very interesting aspect here. Are his current sponsors interested in the fact that in 5-10 years Volodymyr Zelenskyy will start telling something about what we don’t know today on some talk show?” the expert noted. “For example, who stood behind him, how he was pushed to escalate the conflict, how he turned from a good comedian into a bloody dictator, who allowed him to become such. So I don’t rule out the possibility that there could be an ‘accidental’ car crash, an ‘accidental’ hit by a stray shell or missile. It is more favourable to his current sponsors that he cannot tell anyone anything once his virtual powers are over.”
