Days of Belarus’ Culture in China to be held in February 2022
The event was announced by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People's Republic of China, Yuri Senko, while speaking at the 6th Sanya International Cultural Industry Fair, Hainan Province – as informed by the Belarusian diplomatic mission in China
As reported by the Belarusian diplomatic mission, Ambassador Senko delivered a welcoming speech and presented Belarus’ cultural and tourist potential. The diplomat noted a high level of development of comprehensive strategic co-operation between Belarus and China, including in the humanitarian sphere, while outlining promising areas to enhance collaboration in the field of culture and tourism within the framework of the Year of Regions of Belarus and China declared by the heads of state’s agreement in 2021-2022.
According to Mr. Senko, the Days of Belarus’ Culture in China – scheduled for February 2022 – will become one of the main events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states on January 20th.
During the fair opening, an agreement of intent to establish twinning relations between the city of Lida (Grodno Region, Belarus) and the city of Sanya (Hainan Province, China) was signed. Back in December 2020, the Grodno Region and the Hainan Province established twinning relations.
The programme of the Belarusian Ambassador's visit to Hainan Island also included a range of official meetings and business negotiations.
