Parkhomchik: Belarus almost doubled exports to Russia since 2018
Belarus has almost doubled sales of its products on the Russian market since 2018 – as noted by Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik in his talk with Belarus 1 TV channel
According to the Deputy PM, Belarus traditionally sold its goods to Russia within the limit of $13bn in 2018-2020. “In 2022, we reached the milestone of $22bn, and already over el even months of 2023, we exported $23bn of products to the Russian market,” he stated. “We can say with confidence that when the 2023 results will be summed up, the $25bn mark will be crossed, meaning that we have almost doubled our exports to the Russian market.”
Piotr Parkhomchik noted that in 2024, there is a successful portfolio of orders for a range of industrial enterprises. Integral and Planar, which were fully loaded in 2022-2023, are performing very well. According to the Deputy PM, enterprises grew by 1.6-1.7 times for two years in a row. “In 2024, the order portfolio is fully available and with good growth – within 1.2-1.3 times,” he said. “We’re pleased with the work of Horizont. Two years ago, we exceeded the production and sales level of 1 million TV sets; in 2023, the result exceeded 3 million TV sets. The goal that the Government has set for 2024 is to add another million so that the number of TV sets produced and sold is within 4 million units.”
