Lukashenko taking part in CIS informal summit near St. Petersburg
On December 25th, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko is taking part in the traditional informal meeting of the CIS heads of state, held near St. Petersburg, BelTA reports
During the summit, the CIS leaders will summarise the results of the year and discuss the prospects for integration co-operation.
This time it was decided to hold the summit not in St. Petersburg itself, but in its vicinity. The Ice Palace at the Igora all-season resort, located an hour’s drive from the city on the Karelian Isthmus, was chosen as the venue for the CIS informal summit.
The resort has the highest altitude difference and the longest track in the Leningrad Region. In winter, the resort has 10 multi-level tracks for skiing and snowboarding.
Within walking distance from the resort is Russia’s most modern motor racing circuit, Igora Drive, where, for the first time in the world, 10 tracks for various types of motorcycling and motorcycling operate on one territory.
