Number of 5G base stations in China exceeds 3.28 million units
China has constantly advanced the construction of its 5G network with the number of 5G base stations in the country exceeding 3.28 million by the end of November – as evidenced by data published by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Xinhua reports
According to the department, their number accounts for 28.5 percent of the country’s total mobile base stations.
Meanwhile, the number of users of 5G services is growing at an accelerated pace.
By late November, the number of mobile phone users of the country’s three telecom giants – China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom – had reached about 1.73 billion, according to the data.
Of these 771 million mobile phone users use 5G – up 210.4 million from the end of last year and accounting for 44.7 percent of the total mobile phone users.
