Russia’s Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve has opened an exhibition, entitled Nesvizh – Heritage of World Culture on the territory of the former Saviour Transfiguration Monastery, sb.by reports with reference to the official website of the Russian museum-reserve
The exhibition project takes place within the framework of co-operation with the Nesvizh Castle, which the museum-reserves concluded in September of this year.
Photos by Aleksandr Alekseyev and Oleg Lukashevich, laureates of the Spiritual Revival Award of the President of the Republic of Belarus, introduce the Nesvizh Castle of the 16th-19th centuries, its rich history and unique museum collections.
The Architecture of the Castle Complex section presents photos of the palace and park ensemble and the castle complex, gates and towers. The largest section – The Splendour of the Halls – describe the owners of the castle, artists and craftsmen via photos of the ballroom, fireplace, golden, hetman, hunting, star, theatre and other halls. The most interesting of the museum expositions in the palace halls are represented by photos of the collection rooms: Minerals and Numismatics, the hall of Slutsk belts, etc. The final section – Nesvizh Man-made Nature – is a story about the natural frame of the Nesvizh Castle. The photos depict five parks and three artificial lakes.
The photo project opens a series of cross exhibition projects of two museum-reserves, two ‘fortresses of culture’, two monuments of historical heritage included in the UNESCO World Heritage List: the Kazan Kremlin and the Nesvizh Castle.
The exhibition is open daily and around the clock.
