Musk views S. Korea’s likely plans to send military personnel to Ukraine as escalation of conflict
US entrepreneur and businessman Elon Musk said the prospect of sending South Korean troops to Ukraine, voiced earlier by some media outlets, indicates an escalation of the conflict, TASS reports
“[The situation] seems to be escalating,” Musk wrote on his social network X, commenting on a report published by one of the users of the American magazine Newsweek that the South Korean authorities are allegedly discussing a plan to send troops to Ukraine and supply it with weapons.
On October 21st, the South Korean Newspim agency wrote that the country’s authorities were studying the possibility of sending ‘auxiliary personnel’ to Ukraine as one of the responses to the hypothetical appearance of North Korean People’s Army troops in the special military operation zone. The agency’s source said that South Korean specialists – familiar with the DPRK military tactics and structure – could assist Ukraine. Earlier, the South Korean intelligence service made allegations about possible dispatch of North Korean troops to Russia.
