Belarus’ State Border Committee: border guards found another dead moose on border with Lithuania

On December 26th, Belarusian border guards found a dead moose near the Lithuanian border wall with barbed wire. Trying to cross into Belarusian territory, the animal died from cuts of the European ‘Bruno spiral’, sb.by reports citing the Belarusian border department’s Telegram channel.

The border agency reported that 20 moose, 10 roe deer and one deer had already fallen on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border after the construction of deadly barriers by the Lithuanian authorities.

In total, since September 2021, the Belarusian side has recorded 50 cases of animal deaths because of the border barriers of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland.
