Lukashenko, Putin held bilateral meeting after CIS informal summit
On December 25th, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of Russia Vladimir Putin held a bilateral meeting after the CIS informal summit, BelTA reports
The meeting of the CIS heads of state took place on the territory of the Igora all-season resort near St. Petersburg. The summit was opened by Russian President Vladimir Putin, whose country is completing its CIS chairmanship this year and is transferring its powers to Tajikistan.
The protocol part of the talks, despite the informal status of the summit, was quite lengthy. The CIS leaders communicated behind closed doors and without the press. Then they continued the conversation in the breakfast format. In total, the meeting of the presidents lasted nine and a half hours, according to the Pul Pervogo Telegram channel.
“Lukashenko and Putin talked one-on-one for about an hour and a half! It is not yet known what,” the media resource noted.
