Lukashenko to attend Dazhynki fair in Klimovichi
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko will attend the Dazhynki 2024 festival-fair in Klimovichi, Mogilev Region, BelTA reports
The Head of State will present awards to the winners of the harvesting campaign.
The Dazhynki festival-fair is traditionally the main agricultural holiday in the region, where the results of the harvesting season are summed up and best agricultural workers are honoured. Good mood and festive atmosphere will be created not only by cultural workers, but also by trade representatives: the guests of the event will be offered a wide range of products. The total length of the trade rows is almost 600m.
As BelTA reported, the President had already visited the Dazhynki festivals in other regions of the country. The holiday was hosted by Mikashevichi (Brest Region), Korma (Gomel Region), Volozhin (Minsk Region), Mosty (Grodno Region) and Polotsk (Vitebsk Region).
Aleksandr Lukashenko announced his plans to visit the regions in Mikashevichi during the first in a series of regional holidays. “I plan to visit all regions to bow low to you and thank you, our dear farmers. Not only do you ensure food security, but also you are the backbone of our country. You have saved this country and are holding it on your shoulders in the most difficult times,” the President explained the reasons for his decision.
