Lukashenko: there’re enough people willing to unleash war in Belarus, but they’re afraid of our unity
There are enough people willing to unleash a war in Belarus, but they are afraid of the unity of the Belarusian nation, President Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised at today’s solemn ceremony honouring agricultural workers during the Dazhynki-2024 regional festival-fair in Klimovichi, BelTA reports
“I repeat: it is better to work on the land than to drudge later. If there is economy, there will never be a war. If there is no economy, we will unleash a civil war ourselves. There are plenty of those who want to do so: they are rattling their weapons abroad. But they are afraid, because we are united more than ever, because we want to live on our land. They are afraid of this first of all, and not because the ‘Batka’ [meaning ‘father’ in Belarusian – Aleksandr Lukashenko’s nickname] is walking there with a club. They are afraid of our unity and that we want to work. If we lose this feeling, look what will happen. God forbid it,” Aleksandr Lukashenko warned.
