Lukashenko set goal to increase food exports to $10bn a year
Belarus should increase its food exports to $10bn per year – as noted by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko at the Dazhynki-2024 regional festival-fair in Klimovichi today
“The villagers are again expected to achieve more over the next five years: to reach 10.5-11 million tonnes of grain, transfer all livestock to modern complexes and increase milk yields up to 8 tonnes per cow. Dairy facilities will be built all over the country in the next five years. We will also build ultra-modern pig farms and finally deal with flax processing. Our goal is to export at least $10bn a year, with a focus on new markets in Asia and Africa,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
The President admits that it will not be easy for everyone, but there is no other way to achieve results: only hard work, sweat and maximum tension.
“There are a lot of those who want to tear Belarus apart and seize it. As soon as we become complacent, we will disappear from the world’s political and geographical map. As I have already said, in the next five years we will polish the country and bring it to an ideal state so that we can pass it on to our children,” the Head of State emphasised.
