“The ambassador reported to me on the way here – and I was pleasantly surprised – that your companies have ordered more than $300m products from our IT specialists. They paid more than $300m. There were statements that [IT specialists] had run away from Belarus and Russia. Meanwhile, Russia has placed orders worth $300m in Belarus alone. If we look at Russian IT specialists, then orders will amount to several billion Dollars. So even here, ‘peace-loving’ countries failed to pressurise us so much that the best minds, as they said, would flee our countries. It means that import substitution is progressing," the President said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised that, in 2022, Russia and Belarus enjoyed an unprecedented turnover of goods and services, “$50bn. As you have said, trade in goods made about $44bn, and there were also services."
