Lukashenko congratulates President of Kazakhstan on Republic Day
The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, on behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, has congratulated the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on the national holiday: Republic Day – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service
"The adoption of the Declaration on Sovereignty became a landmark event for Kazakhstan and the first step towards its independence. Despite the difficult history of statehood formation, its foundations – laid more than three decades ago – remain unshakable," the Belarusian leader stressed.
The Head of State noted that Kazakhstan today firmly adheres to the principles of peaceful foreign policy, contributes in every way to strengthening mutual understanding and good-neighbourliness, and Astana's meaningful initiatives play an important role in ensuring international security, solving global problems of humanity.
"I am convinced that Belarus-Kazakhstan time-tested relations – built on friendship and trust – will continue to develop for the benefit of our citizens. I wish you, dear Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich, good health, happiness, support of family and like-minded people, and stability and prosperity to the brotherly people of Kazakhstan," the congratulatory message reads.
