Pentagon concerned about ‘mind-boggling’ pace of China’s deployment of weapons in space

The United States is concerned that China is putting military capabilities into space at a ‘mind-boggling’ pace, TASS reports

“The number of different categories of space weapons that [China has] created and . . . the speed with which they’re doing it is very threatening,” Chief of Space Operations at the US Space Force, General Chance Saltzman, is quoted as saying by The Financial Times.

He also added that the American Space Forces were created in 2019 after China and Russia ‘developed and demonstrated the ability to conduct war fighting in space’.
