Lukashenko congratulated Belarus’ Federation of Trade Unions on 120th anniversary of trade union movement
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus on the 120th anniversary of the country’s trade union movement, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
“Since the beginning of the last century, trade unions have been tirelessly defending the rights and interests of the man of labour. Solidarity, justice, the desire to work together for the benefit of the country are the principles that have always been and remain the basis of your work,” the congratulatory message reads.
The Head of State noted that Belarus’ Federation of Trade Unions has taken over the baton of solving pressing issues of workers at the present stage. “Based on the balance of traditions and innovations, the truly national association successfully promotes the development of social partnership between the state, employees and employers,” the President stressed.
“Active participation in standard-setting activities, effective control over compliance with labour legislation, and defending Belarus’ interests in the International Labour Organisation have become the key to the recognised authority of the Federation of Trade Unions,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stated.
The President wished everyone strong health, prosperity, new achievements and victories.
