"I am sure that this victory is a recognition of your excellent achievements and contribution to the development of the Algerian People's Democratic Republic. Minsk and Algeria actively participate in the Non-Aligned Movement, take close positions on such important issues as building a just multipolar world, the inadmissibility of interference in the affairs of sovereign countries, and countering politically motivated sanctions pressure. The commonality of goals contributes to mutual understanding between our peoples, the openness of bilateral relations, which are traditionally characterised as sincere and friendly," the congratulatory message reads.

The Head of State confirmed his readiness to pay a state visit to Algeria in the near future. "I hope that, during our personal meeting, we will be able to outline joint steps aimed at expanding Belarusian-Algerian co-operation in various sectors," Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
