Lukashenko: Antarctic exploration project is of strategic importance for Belarus
The Antarctic exploration project has become as strategically important as the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, the launch of space satellites, and the flight of the Belarusian cosmonaut – as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko during his today’s meeting with scientists and participants of the Belarusian Antarctic expeditions
The Head of State drew attention to the fact that the 17th Belarusian Antarctic expedition will leave for the ice continent in just a week, “This indicates the success of the project, which has become as strategically important as the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, the launch of space satellites, and the space flight. The country has rightfully entered the elite pool of states exploring Antarctica. The high level of development of Belarusian science and technologies is generally recognised.”
