“Antarctica is just an ideal example of unbiased and constructive relations between states. Actually, scientific achievements in such global areas as space exploration, the development of nuclear energy, fighting pandemics, and the development of polar regions are an important tool of international diplomacy,” the Head of State underlined.

Addressing the participants of the meeting, the Belarusian leader proposed to discuss these issues in detail. According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, in the future various developments could be used in science and life, ranging from climate and environmental forecasts to the study of biodiversity and the peculiarities of the survival of organisms in a harsh climate.

“I’m also keen to learn your personal impressions and stories. Working in this harsh region, so far from home, for a long time is not easy at all. I think you really have something to tell me. I would like to visit this pole of our planet with great pleasure,” the President noted.
