Lithuanian President’s Senior National Security Advisor Kestutis Budrys told the LRT national radio that the country’s army needs large territories of 15km and even 25 km for military training areas. In this regard, there may be a situation when there is a need to relocate residents, he added.

The Lithuanian government has decided to build two new military training areas in the Taurage and Silale districts located near the border with Russia, despite the protests of local residents.
