Russia’s Amur Region invites Belarusian partners to take part in construction of industrial park
The Amur Region of the Russian Federation invites Belarusian partners to participate in the construction of an industrial park, Amur Region Governor Vasily Orlov told journalists after his today’s meeting with the President of Belarus
In particular, he said, “You know that the gas cluster – consisting of two major megaprojects – is developing very rapidly and intensively in our region. This is a Gazprom gas processing plant and a gas chemical complex, implemented by Sibur [an integrated gas processing and petrochemical company in Russia]. The gas chemical complex will produce polyethylene and polypropylene. It is planned to build an industrial park on the basis of these two enterprises, to which we invite Belarusian investors.”
The Russian governor named cultural exchange another important topic, “First of all, Aleksandr Lukashenko supported this. It’s necessary to focus on the exchange of children’s delegations in order to preserve our common historical memory, to see how our shared history developed in the Republic of Belarus, to see the Brest Fortress. It’s possible to see the Vostochny Cosmodrome – the most modern in the world – on the territory of the Amur Region. You know that we have completed the second stage of construction, and this year the Angara heavy-lift rocket was launched. It is very interesting. Moreover, our geographical location enables children, including within one trip, to visit two countries at once: Russia and China. We also discussed this with the President, and he supported the idea.”
Meanwhile, student teams from Belarus also worked on the construction site of the Vostochny Cosmodrome. According to Vasily Orlov, such co-operation can be continued.
“The Vostochny Cosmodrome is a project that will last for many more years. In particular, as I said, only the second stage has been completed there today, but in the future there will be several more phases. Among other things, the construction of a launch pad for a heavyweight rocket and for manned launches will be envisaged. Therefore, I’m convinced that all the agreements that were between the presidents still have prospects of being fully implemented,” he noted.
