Deputy PMs of Belarus and Russia agreed on common approaches to ensure protection of Union State market
Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik and Russian Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov discussed and agreed on approaches to ensuring the protection of the Union State common market, the Belarusian Government reports
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the state of affairs and the results of joint work on certain issues of implementing a unified industrial policy, as well as the development of rules for confirming the production of industrial products on the Union State territory. The relevant documents are planned to be signed in the near future.
The Russian side reported that currently the two countries’ industry ministries have agreed on 24 import-substituting investment projects financed from Russia’s credit resources. In addition, three more projects have been approved, five are at the final stage of approval.
The meeting also discussed the delivery of engines produced by the Ural and Kolomna Motor Plants in 2024 for installation on BelAZ heavy-duty dump trucks.
The leadership of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade expressed interest in working together to create additional production facilities and a centre of competence in Belarus for the manufacture of complex components of high-speed gearboxes in the interests of Belarusian and Russian customers.
The parties also noted that Belarusian-Russian relations in the industrial sector are developing steadily and dynamically, confirming their mutual interest in expanding practical co-operation.
