Belarus’ PM: media company of Union State established
A media company of the Union State has been established as a result of the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State, Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko informed
“A media company of the Union State was established, its charter and the supervisory board members were approved. The organisation will act as a single editorial board and customer of content aimed at the promotion of the Union State construction and its achievements, and covering major events, including on third-party TV channels and information platforms," Mr. Golovchenko said.
The Prime Minister added that the issue of granting the status of goods of the Union State was also considered at the meeting.
“This status is supposed to be given to the products of Belarusian and Russian industrial enterprises. Experts from both sides will have to work out criteria by which such products can be classified as goods of the Union State. The areas of the application of the status will be identified, and the procedure for its recognition will be developed. A number of organisational and protocol issues are to be resolved as well,” Mr. Golovchenko said.
The Prime Minister noted that this is necessary in order to finally resolve the issue of applying the national regime for all goods produced on the territory of the Union State. "I am sure that the implementation of the decisions taken today will serve to implement the Union State Treaty and will contribute to strengthening the economies of Belarus and Russia, improving the standard of living of our citizens," he concluded.
