Belarus, Turkey discussed trade, economic and investment co-operation
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Turkey, Viktor Rybak, met with the Minister of Trade of Turkey, Mehmet Muş – as informed by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry
The sides discussed the state and prospects of Belarusian-Turkish trade, economic and investment co-operation envisaged by the agreements reached by the two states’ heads in April 2019 in Ankara.
The main attention was paid to the issues related to preparation and holding of the 11th meeting of the Belarusian-Turkish Joint Intergovernmental Economic Commission. In addition, information was shared on the results of the Belarusian and Turkish customs services’ expert work related to the launch of a ‘green corridor’ pilot project aimed at implementation of the intergovernmental agreement on the system of mutual trade facilitation and also realisation of other projects of mutual interest.
The Ambassador of Belarus conveyed to Mehmet Muş an invitation for Turkish businesses to participate in the Belarusian Investment Forum on November 22nd, 2021 – as part of the National Day of the Republic of Belarus at World EXPO 2020 in Dubai, in addition to commercial and investment proposals of Belarusian enterprises and organisations.
