The document was signed by Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, Natalia Aleksandrovich, and Russia’s Deputy Minister of Transport, Aleksandr Poshivai.
"The signing of the agreement is a significant step within the framework of the Union State and an important link in the ongoing work on the formation of new logistics schemes for the delivery of Belarusian goods," the Ministry noted.
Earlier, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 422, which approved a draft intergovernmental agreement between the two countries on navigation on inland waterways as a basis for negotiations.
