Belarus’ Foreign Ministry hopes Azerbaijan, Armenia will resolve their conflict
Belarus is closely following the progress observed in normalisation of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, and it sincerely hopes that lasting peace and stability will be achieved, and transport communications in the South Caucasus will be unblocked – as stated by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service
Concern is expressed regarding the escalation of the armed confrontation in Karabakh.
“We call on the fraternal Azerbaijani and Armenian peoples for restraint, and we believe Baku and Yerevan will show wisdom and good sense. We express our hope for full and unconditional compliance with the agreements concluded by the parties with the mediation of Russia. We are convinced of the possibility of reaching compromises by political and diplomatic means within the framework of the existing negotiation formats," the Foreign Ministry noted.
